My web site is for people who like middleweight boxing fights and love to watch it. My favorite boxing fighter is Oscar de la hoya,he has fought against great fighters and has maintaing a very good record throughout his fighting career.

This "Golden Boy" of boxing was born on February 4th 1973 in East Los Angeles, California. He was one of America's top amateur boxers during the late 80-s and early 90's, until he turned pro right after winning a gold medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. The following November, he fought Lamar Williams and won the match with a first-round KO.

Oscar De La Hoya won the 1992 Olympic gold medal (lightweight); won the IBF lightweight title in 1995; won WBC Super Lightweight title over Julio Cesar Chavez in 1996 and WBC Welterweight title over Pernell Whitaker in 1997; lost WBC Welterweight belt to Felix Trinidad in a majority decision in 1999; lost to Sugar Shane Mosley in 2000 for his 2nd career defeat.

He won his first world title in 1994 against Jimmi Bredahl. In 1995, he defeated Rafael Ruelas, later winning over Genaro Hernandez and Jesse James Leija. In June 1996, he clearly dominated his long time idol Julio Cesar Chavez in a fourth-round TKO. His 1997 defeat over the previously undefeated Miguel Gonzalez, won him the WBC lightweight title. Pernell Whitaker was his next in-ring victim with a close decision over the champ.
